Established in 1987 by Alan and Helene Weeding, Weeding Hire started as a small yet ambitious venture, supplying party goods and traditional pole marquees for events of all kinds. Back then, ‘party’ meant everything—from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. As the industry evolved and clearspan marquees became the gold standard through innovators like Hoecker, Weeding Hire strengthened its foothold in Tasmania, forming lasting relationships with businesses and community event organizers through its hands-on approach and commitment to seamless event execution.
Fast-forward to today, and Weeding Hire continues to build upon this legacy with the next generation of event professionals leading the way. This new team—passionate, forward-thinking, and energized—is redefining what it means to be a trusted event partner. In 2018, Weeding Hire took a significant step forward by acquiring Tassie Instant Marquees, further strengthening its ability to provide dynamic, scalable marquee solutions.
